Sperry R. Martling

Sperry Martling is an Analyst at Sperry Capital and has been with the firm since 2010. He provides financial modeling, quantitative analysis and strategic business case development services for the firm’s infrastructure advisory clients.

Mr. Martling is supporting the planning of a new capital financing program for a 501(c)(3) corporation in addition to providing technical analysis and support for the firm’s transportation clients. For the Orange County Transportation Authority, Mr. Martling provided technical analysis and back-up support for the issuance of the $293.54 M BABs and $59.03 M 2010 Series B Tax-Exempt Bonds. Mr. Martling also provided technical support for the issuance of the $100 M 91 Express Lanes Series 2010 private placement with the Orange County Investment Pool.

Mr. Martling has joined the financial advisory team to the California Department of Transportation on the Presidio Parkway P3 Project bringing quantitative analysis expertise to financial modeling and business case tasks. He also provides support for Sperry Capital’s public sector investment advisory clients, tracking performance and compliance to publicly mandated investment guidelines.

Mr. Martling holds a B.A. degree in Economics from the University of California, at San Diego. He has completed continuing education coursework in advanced Microsoft Excel and quantitative analysis.
